A planet's gravity is also a factor during On Foot activities, and can affect the player's movement, jumping, and their thrown grenades. In order to disembark from a ship on foot, the player must first land the ship on the ground. On Foot activities require a suit to protect the player from the hostile environment, but some planets are so inhospitable that players cannot disembark from their ships even if their ships are able to land. Landing on planets with tenuous atmospheres requires the new Advanced Planetary Approach Suite module. This is permitted not only on all non-atmospheric landable planets, but Odyssey also opens planets with tenuous or thin atmospheres for landings for the first time, increasing the number of available landable bodies in the game by over 20%. The landmark feature of Odyssey is the addition of the ability to explore planets on foot. 7.2 Developer Updates and clarification postsįeatures Atmospheric landings and on-foot activities.1.1 Atmospheric landings and on-foot activities.

I do wish Frontier had been more consistent when they created the Controls page in the first place but, you can download the list here:ĮDIT: I managed to get it down to 11 pages by removing a bunch of extra line breaks. The type is very small because, since I was breaking the pages up to group different categories of controls together on their respective pages it became difficult to conserve paper. This is a first draft, I have only just printed it out to go through and re-edit the descriptions. I also tried to make the descriptions a bit more consistent with each other i.e.: I attempted to make give similar controls similar descriptions. Where I could figure it out I made the corrections to the descriptions. I tried to correct some of them for instance, there are a couple that are described as X/Y axis controls when they clearly (from their labels) control only the X or the Y axis. and frustrated so I copied all of the control bindings and descriptions out of Elite Dangerous Options>Controls and created an Excel spreadsheet mapping all of the descriptions with the controls. I mean, some of these controls have duplicate descriptions even though they clearly control different things. Another problem is that (b) whoever was in charge of creating these descriptions was high as a kite when it was done.

I can only select one control binding at a time in Options>Controls and so can only see one control description at a time.

in Elite Dangerous is that (a) there is not a single, all-in-one-place list of descriptions for all of the control bindings (at least, I haven't seen one). Part of the trouble with trying to effectively bind keyboard keys, joystick axes, etc.
